This Privacy Policy describes how the MEMORA Android application ("MEMORA," "the app") handles information. MEMORA is developed and published by Mapway Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

1. What MEMORA stores locally

MEMORA lets you save personal reminders called "memories," each with a title, category, optional details and notes, relevant dates, and an optional reminder date/time. If you choose, you can also record an amount and currency for purchase- or renewal-related memories. All of this information is stored only in a private, app-specific local database on your device (Android Room/SQLite). MEMORA also stores one small local preference: your chosen appearance (Light, Dark, or System theme). None of this information is uploaded, synced, or transmitted anywhere by MEMORA's own code.

2. Local notifications and reminders

If you set a reminder on a memory, MEMORA schedules a local notification using Android's built-in AlarmManager and NotificationManager. This scheduling happens entirely on your device. No reminder or notification data is sent to Mapway Technologies Pvt. Ltd. or to any third party. If you grant the notification permission, MEMORA will show you a notification at the time you chose; if you decline, MEMORA simply will not show notifications, and no other functionality is affected.

3. Advertising

MEMORA uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to show advertising, which is how MEMORA generates revenue. Because of this, MEMORA requests Android's INTERNET permission; MEMORA's own memory and reminder code still makes no network calls of its own, and this permission exists solely so the advertising SDK can request and display ads. When an ad is requested, information may be collected and shared with Google as described in Google's own advertising and privacy documentation, which MEMORA does not control and cannot override. Based on Google's published guidance for this SDK, this typically includes your approximate location (estimated from IP address), device and advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID), app interaction data (e.g. ad views and taps), and diagnostic or performance information, all transmitted to Google over an encrypted (TLS) connection for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes. You can review or reset your Android Advertising ID, or limit ad personalization, through your device's Android Settings (Settings, Privacy, Ads, or equivalent on your Android version). Where required by applicable law, including for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, MEMORA uses Google's official User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent tool to request your consent before requesting personalized advertising. MEMORA does not operate its own advertising server or backend; advertising is served entirely through Google's Mobile Ads SDK, and your memories and settings remain local-only as described above.

4. No accounts or login

MEMORA does not require or offer account creation, sign-in, or any form of user authentication. There is no concept of a MEMORA user identity beyond the data stored locally on your device. Advertising identifiers (see Section 3) are managed by Google and Android at the operating-system level, not by a MEMORA account, because MEMORA has none.

5. No separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK

MEMORA does not include a dedicated analytics or crash-reporting software development kit (no Firebase, no Crashlytics, or equivalent) separate from the advertising SDK described in Section 3. Any analytics-adjacent data collection described in that section is part of Google's Mobile Ads SDK operation, not a separate MEMORA-added analytics integration.

6. Third-party SDKs

MEMORA uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), described in Section 3. MEMORA also uses standard AndroidX/Jetpack libraries (Compose, Room, Navigation, DataStore, and related core, lifecycle, and activity libraries) to build its own local interface and local storage; none of these transmit your data anywhere as used in this app.

7. Data sharing

MEMORA's own memory, reminder, and settings data is never shared with any third party; it never leaves your device. Advertising-related data is shared with Google as described in Section 3; this is the only category of data sharing that exists in MEMORA.

8. Data retention and deletion

Your memories remain stored locally for as long as you keep them saved in the app. You may delete any individual memory at any time from within MEMORA (Memory Detail screen, Delete action); this immediately and permanently removes it from local storage and cancels any reminder associated with it. Uninstalling MEMORA removes all of its local data from your device, in line with standard Android behavior. Advertising-related data collected by Google is retained and can be managed by Google according to Google's own policies; you can reset or limit your Android Advertising ID at any time via Android Settings, independent of MEMORA.

9. Security

MEMORA's own memory and reminder data is protected by Android's standard app-private storage sandboxing and is never transmitted; Mapway Technologies Pvt. Ltd. does not hold, and cannot access, copies of your MEMORA data. Advertising-related network traffic to Google is encrypted in transit (TLS), per Google's own SDK documentation.

10. Backup behavior

MEMORA disables Android's automatic application backup (allowBackup is set to false). Your memories and settings are not included in Android's cloud backup or device-to-device transfer features. Your data exists only on the device where you created it, for as long as you keep the app installed on that device.

11. Children's privacy

MEMORA is a general-purpose personal reminder utility that is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children beyond what the advertising SDK described in Section 3 may process, consistent with Google's own advertising policies for non-child-directed apps.

12. Changes to this policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated in the future, the revised version will be published at this same web address with an updated effective date.
